Well, seeing as how it is now August 2011, I think it is absolutely accurate to say that I suck at updating this blog.

The last time I posted, I was still a freshman. I am now into my junior year of high school. And let me just say, I wish I could still say school was as easy as it was freshmen year.

Of course, it wouldn’t be quite as bad if I weren’t taking all honors or AP classes. But I am. And SO FAR (it being only a full week since the first day), it isn’t horrible. Although my back will probably forever be bent from this day forward, thanks to the mountain of homework I’ve gotten already. (… a lot of alliteration in that last sentence!)

And, just for future reference for the 0 people that read this blog, DO NOT TAKE THE “HARDEST CLASS THE SCHOOL OFFERS” IF A) IT IS A MATH CLASS, AND B) YOU SUCK AT MATH. It’s only for a semester, so by December I’ll be done with it. But I hope to sweet Jake Gyllenhaal that I won’t fail.

So, I also feel like (since it’s been over a year since I last posted) that I should update my bio. New bio is as follows:

I’m 16, still 5’2.25, and thinking of majoring in biology or zoology in college. (Yep, I have to be thinking of college now; I’m even taking my first ACT in October.) I’m still a huge Harry Potter fan, and loved the concluding movie of the series. And I’ve been introduced to even more amazing video games than ever before.

Something that HAS changed a lot about me since my last post… I haven’t written anything. And that’s because I realized the major story I had been writing (that is, the one that I really loved and seriously thought would be my first actual book) was just a more detailed description of my favorite video game. There were 4 main characters, each had power over one of the four elements, and they had to go on a quest (although I never actually got that far in writing my story) to save the world. Also I had added details from two other book series, which I just didn’t realize when writing it. But, all in all, even though it was a total waste to write all those pages, (and it may sound crazy to say this) I have a connection with the characters I created. For instance, the absolute main character? I named him with the name I would choose for my firstborn son. Which I *obviously* do not have right now. But he will totally have his name, when I have him. And I will always look back on this story as being something I was proud to do, even though it really wasn’t my own BASIC idea, I still felt like I made it my own.

And through these last few years of highschool, another thing about me has not changed: my relationship status. Whether it’s because guys just don’t find me attractive, because a lot of the guys in my grade have known me since elementary school, because I’m just too shy to actually ask a guy out myself, or because guys genuinely hate my smart-ass personality or seriously dumb jokes, I haven’t even been approached. Except by one guy who asked me (while I was working) if I wanted to come boozing with him for his 21st birthday. Yeahhh… he was cute, but boozing, for one thing, isn’t my thing, he was 21, which definitely was not going to happen, and yes… I was working at the time. OH, but I DID have some guy ask me if I had any kids. Even though I’m 16. And not fat. I mean, sure, when I was 14 people thought I was in college already, but that doesn’t mean I want to look 30 when I’m 16. Sheesh.

To sum up, my life is one heck of a lot to deal with right now. And although I do laugh almost constantly throughout my day, whether it’s at my own mistakes, a ridiculous sentence a teacher said, or my own dumb jokes that really only make sense to me, I’m still a genuinely happy person. And that’s enough for me.

So as I finish this quite long post on this Monday night, I’m going to take a moment to say: I cannot wait for next year, when I will be finished with all of my hard classes, and can relax senior year with easier classes, and classes that I will enjoy.

So a lot has happened since I last posted (8 days ago!) For one thing, I HAVE NO BRACES!!!! YAYYYYY!!! My teeth can breath freely now… or… well, whatever.

I have also since learned that I will be visiting Chicago over the summer! It’s only for four days, but that’s still pretty exciting! Apparently we’re taking a train there… hmm, wonder how that’ll go.

And another thing is happening over the summer… I’m getting my wisdom teeth pulled. One week after the start of summer. Fantastic, huh?

But not all of my summer will be in pain! I’m gonna try to go swimming a LOT this summer, because I really love to, and don’t get to enough! I’m also gonna visit an old elementary teacher with one of my pals. I’m oddly excited for this!!!

But don’t worry; there’ll still be plenty of time to ruin my sleeping schedule before sophomore year.

I still have a video project to do, then an essay for English, and an essay for History. And I have to finish two long books in English. With approximately 21 days left of school.

The Up side: Braces off on Thursday. Meaning only 3 more mornings until my teeth can breath freely!
